Re: Happy Holidays and a question
The known disappearing TV series issue was addressed in CMC v8. This was caused by My Movies changing the TV Series Stars Rating from a 0-10 value (representing 0-5 Stars in half-star increments) to -1. CMC had a bug in that series with -1 values were ignored, making them disappear from the GUI. CMC ...

Re: v8.0 and MM v5.42 Upgrades
I'm still running 5.40, or at least I think I am. I run MM and CCC inside a virtual machine on my NAS server, and the SSD they were on died a few weeks ago, and I haven't recovered yet. (Side rant, that's now 3 dead Samsung SSD's due to bad firmware on the SSD's. I used to swear by them, but I didn ...

Re: Windows 11 Upgrade issues [ & solutions!!!]
Wow, that's a lot to digest.
First, the UAC / Running as Administrator, I don't recall that being a requirement for CCC. You do have to start CMC in Admin mode in order to reprogram the WMC IR remote control buttons, but beyond that I don't think there's ever a need for it on any other programs ...

Re: Modification of Box Set Titles Display
I agree that My Movies is unnecessarily clunky when it comes to assigning Categories. But just in case you may not have discovered this, there are two ways to assign Categories. The quicker way is to right-click the title in the left tree/list, and you can directly assign a category from the pop-up ...

Re: Modification of Box Set Titles Display
Hi Tony,
Thanks for the kind words about CMC.
That is a very unorthodox usage of Box Sets. I recommend you switch to using Custom Categories, this is the correct solution for this, and CMC will display the titles as you desire if you used them.
CMC works fine for both Box Sets and Movie ...

Re: Windows 11 Upgrade issues [ & solutions!!!]
For reference, here is the internal CCC startup logic surrounding the test.txt file:
Check if the NetShare directory exists
Create the NetShare directory if missing
Copy the Ratings.XML file to NetShare\Test.TXT
Check if \localhost\CCC\Test.TXT file exists via Windows network stack
If file ...

Re: Windows 11 Upgrade issues [ & solutions!!!]
Hi Robert, thank you for sharing your experiences and solutions, I'm sure they will help others as well.
I've been on Win11 for years now, long enough that I can no longer remember if I encountered similar challenges.
I will say that CCC includes a setting for you to define the username/password ...

Re: Trailers - FILE NOT FOUND
What I noticed in my testing is that different videos had different success rates. The Dark Knight trailer definitely had the issue for me, though, so I used it for the public test.
My expectation is that if I fold this into CMC, it will work for some trailers, and fail randomly for others. But ...
