Re: [Solved] MCE Remote mapping reverting on reboot
Thanks for the driver info, I appreciate it. I don't have any NUC's, so no way to investigate this on my end. I definitely don't have these ITECIR drivers on my systems. It makes sense that the NUC, being a fully integrated micro PC, would use their own driver for any IR receivers built into the cas...

Re: [Solved] MCE Remote mapping reverting on reboot
Yeah, the code I wrote is simply to update an existing registry entry, not create it from scratch. The scenario you're experiencing is certainly not one I ever anticipated, much less programmed to handle. As much as I'd like to quarantine this off as a rare scenario, I'm now fearing this will become...

Re: MCE Remote mapping reverting on reboot
Wow, what a journey, great job figuring this out! And a BIG THANKS for posting the solution here. It never would have occurred to me that the IR driver could be the troublemaker, overwriting the registry strings. I suppose a developer in their infinite wisdom decided they were sick of "corrupte...

Re: MCE Remote mapping reverting on reboot
Hey Robert, Well, it sounds like you are doing everything right. I've not heard of this issue before. My first thought was that you're running a new version of Windows and perhaps Microsoft has changed how this works. But 22H2 is nearly 2 years old now. Hmmm. I do open CMC in the CME folder to sync ...

Re: [Resolved] Error 1326 - cannot connect to shared folder issue
Excellent! (seems a bit odd to me, how can a client hit the server if the client needs to use the authentication that is stored on the server behind authentication?) You may have missed my answer to this in my first post above: I know it may seem weird that you enter the username/password into CCC's...

Re: Error 1326 - cannot connect to shared folder issue
It definitely sounds like some sync weirdness is going on. Please enable CMC > Settings > Startup & Logging > Debug Logging. Then close and relaunch CMC. Let the sync finish normally on its own. Then, paying close attention to the PC's clock, don't do more than one sync per minute. So wait a ful...

Re: Error 1326 - cannot connect to shared folder issue
CMC connects to CCC using 2 different methods. It uses a direct messaging connection to send & receive the media database info, but this does not include any artwork. And it uses a Windows Shared Folder to retrieve all artwork, like disc covers and fanart backgrounds. The reason you believe the ...

Sounds good. Just make sure you've got a plan B in case you can't get My Movies going on Win11.

Re: Movie Count Mismatch
Good find, those can be hard to track down. I have a similar issue caused by folder monitoring. If I import an ISO, as a disc title, then later on My Movies may decide it wants to import the folder again but this time as an online folder. So I end up with two copies of the same film. It's bad enough...

Re: mymovies install on windows 11
I bought a Minisforum mini PC last year for use in a pinball machine. It was a little lower-end, I didn't need the horsepower for playing back 4K. It's very nice. As far as NUCs go, I think these AMD versions are among the nicest. But, no matter what you hope for, it's still a mobile chip inside, bo...
