Re: Progress Update Request

Hey Pete, I've been making some very exciting progress! One of the most common issues I've been seeing mostly centers around exporting meta-data from My Movies. I finally realized that I am spending more time supporting users struggling to export meta-data from My Movies than any other issue. So I d...

Forced Subtitles

With the final season of Game of Thrones just a few weeks away, I've been re-watching the entire series from the beginning. As anyone who owns this series on Blu-ray can tell you, the menus are slow and obtrusive, with lots of un-skippable lead in video clips, and even worse lots of notifications/wa...

Re: What is Unraid and how to build an Unraid media server

Okay, I was wrong. The bracket for the 2 - 2 1/2" drives is installed on the case wall. Paul, I am a little confused concerning what the extra brackets shown in the 2 attached photos are used for and whether the removed screw in one picture is the posts for the Motherboard? At least one of tho...

Re: What is Unraid and how to build an Unraid media server

Here is a video describing the case Paul suggested earlier in this thread. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=396&v=OMBY1_bMhc8 Note: There is some installation for the case. For the 2 - 2 1/2 inch drives internal bracket, they supply the materials (screws and bracket) but you have to ...

Re: Music CD Navigation Issues

Hey Pete, doing great here thanks - hope you are doing well too. Everything you described is a known limitation - I simply haven't programmed those features yet. I did think that doing a next chapter updated the now playing list, so I'll have to double-check that, it might be a bug. I like your sugg...

Re: What is Unraid and how to build an Unraid media server

I think that is a great question. First, it should be said that Unraid itself won't care if you randomly connect the drive bays in any which order. You plug in a drive, Unraid assigns a drive letter to it, and makes it available to use. Then you assign a drive (not a slot, but a drive) to a Disk # (...

Re: What is Unraid and how to build an Unraid media server

Since we've discussed Unraid's ability to use all of your available space, I wanted to share this pop-up alert I got today in Unraid. In the top right, you'll see the red alert box informing me that Disk 15 is low on space (98% utilization). I also get an email with the same info - Unraid is very he...

Re: What is Unraid and how to build an Unraid media server

I checked out the videos. The Part 1 video seems redundant as the Part 2 video shows installing the CPU, and this looks very similar to what you will be experiencing. The cooling fan that comes with that CPU should already have the thermal paste applied just as he showed - just be careful not to smu...

Re: What is unraid and how to build an unraid media server

Paul, you mentioned in the past running a job once a month to do a rebuild, or something. Can you describe what that is about? That is the monthly Parity Check. You don't have to do it monthly, but that is the most common schedule and is considered a best practice. The Parity Check spins up all the...

Re: Feature request: Configuration/settings using a remote and other feature things :-)

I’m in a period of mourning with the imminent death of Media Center when Windows7 end of support begins at the end of the year. Media center upon initial launch or after initial configuration allows you to adjust settings using only the remote and the onscreen keyboard. I was disappointed when I ha...
