Re: New external player addition.
The version of windows that I’m running on my htpc is 1809 Okay, good. On Windows 10, all buttons are available for reprogramming. On Windows 7/8.1, Microsoft prevents the reprogramming of WMC and multimedia buttons. What I should have done is load CMC under administrative privileges, make the chan...

Re: POwerdvd 19 64 bit , anydvd 8.3.8.0 And constant mount and dismount of ISO disc
Thanks for the report Chef. Have you tried rebooting? Sometimes AnyDVD gets a little mixed up, and rebooting seems to straighten things out. If rebooting doesn't help, it might be that something has changed with 8.3.8.0 that affects how CMC determines that a disc has been mounted. I'll do some testi...

Re: Htpc upgrade
Since you like JRiver, and also use MPC, I'm going to assume that you are using LAV and madVR enhancements. For those, you need a bit more horsepower, so I kept that in mind as I looked at options. Are you using HDMI audio, or separate audio out from the motherboard? I'm guessing HDMI audio since yo...

Re: Jriver Player does not launch
Awesome. I was wondering if that would help. Perhaps this was just an installation bug in JRiver v.24.

Re: Jriver Player does not launch
I just checked, and I have MC25.exe in both System32 and SysWOW64:
I think CMC is only looking in System32, so if you have it only in SysWOW64 that could explain why CMC is not finding it.

Re: Jriver Player does not launch
Can you do a search for mc24.exe in your Windows folder? Perhaps it is in SysWOW64 instead.
I think I'm running the 64-bit version too. Hard to tell now, as my trial has expired and it no longer runs for me.

Re: New external player addition.
I'll look into it. I'm not sure what the capabilities are, I've never really played with it outside of music years ago. MPC allows for extensive control customization, and I agree that the default settings are wretched. By default it seems to like keyboards better, so I highly recommend you spend 15...

Re: Htpc upgrade
Odd, I use to get SGX errors trying to play my purchased 4K discs, but for me foxy made them all go away. The last time I tried to play a 4K on PowerDVD it didn't work, but worked fine on MPC. So perhaps PowerDVD is still restricted somehow. But I thought I had played some 4K on PowerDVD too. Where ...

Re: Jriver Player does not launch
There's supposed to be an executable for Media Center in the \Windows\System32 directory. The name should be MC24.exe. This allows you to actually run JRiver Media Center from anywhere. I'm guessing you don't have C:\Windows\System32\MC24.exe, which is what CMC is looking for. We tested with earlier...
