Thanks for the explanation Jamie. I resolved it by installing 25, so it works. Sorta. It plays Blu rays and dvd movies. MPC plays episodes. Now I just need to get the remote sorted. I’m partially operational. Please see my other thread.

Would it be possible to add windows media player as a external player? I just want to use it so I can play episodes. I’m having a heck of a time trying to control MPC-BE with a remote. Maybe it might be easier to control it from a traditional MCE remote?

Thanks for the info. I do read that forum frequently. I’m not using powerdvd. I’m using jriver. I don’t like power dvd. Initially I’m going to bring up CMC on my existing hardware and use it as it is currently configured. Let me know what you think of the hardware I selected.
