okay installed all movie related apps including Mymovies, PowerDVD17, MMBrowser, VCD, MPC-HC and MPC-BE. Everything works fine. The initial MMBrowser issue must have been a corrupted exe. I was surprised to see the popup regarding no digital signature. Never saw that before

I fixed the problem. I downloaded from the web site and moved the downloaded executable to my C:\ drive. Windows asked about a digital signature and I clicked allow and ok to that windows popup. Ran fine then

I would delete the cache folder and the MMB_SmartSync.bin, MMBrowserDB.xml files too. Any one of these can get corrupted.
