Re: Sync Errors
Hey Tom, I'm a little confused, mainly because your screenshot clearly shows that the Media Type is set to "Movie", and that sounds right for A Charlie Brown Christmas. If it is a Movie, then you don't want to change it to TV Series. Probably the problem was an old meta-data file that show...

Re: Shutdown option in Exit menu
Very cool, though I've never seen a 4-second power down option in any BIOS. My experience has always been that this is a 10-second duration for the forced power down. Maybe that's referring to the same thing.
Thanks for sharing! I might just get me one of these.

Re: Shutdown option in Exit menu
I have always believed in an orderly shutdown and somewhat fear that if the PC is shutdown when - say - Windows is doing some kind of updating in the background, or some files are being copied, or whatever, it might screw up my PC. Surprisingly, pressing the power button to shutdown does conduct an...

Re: Shutdown option in Exit menu
The SIMEREC PCS-1 and PCS-2 seem really cool, thanks for sharing that Pete. I didn't realize an IR responsive solution existed for powering on a PC remotely. That should work for both poweron and poweroff, right? And the poweroff behavior would be whatever behavior you configure in Windows for the P...

Re: Shutdown option in Exit menu
Thanks Pete, that's a great tip. And depending upon where you are in the CMC GUI, and what other windows you have open, this can actually be fewer button presses. Best case with this approach, you'd have to press a minimum of 5 buttons (Press Close = CMC Closes, Press Close = nothing, Press Close = ...

Re: Sync Errors
If you try to add the "Juno and the Paycheck" in My Movies, it isn't found and so no meta data exists for the title...If there's no meta data in My Movies, my thought is I need to create it manually so CMC will have what it needs to work with the titles. This sounds correct. Every so ofte...

Re: My Movies Version 5.25 Pre-Release now available
Just a reminder, you probably want a full backup of your PC before you play with 5.25. And when you do play with it, we need to verify that the mymovies.xml meta-data files are still 'CMC compatible'. Maybe just force-write meta-data for a title here and there and see if it's different, and if CMC l...

Re: Sync Errors
Paul, I am trying to import "Juno and the Paycheck" and both the folder and the movie file are named that. I removed all the files from the folder with the exception of the movie file (Juno and the Paycheck.mp4) but still get Already Exists return. When I check the "Already Exists&qu...

Re: Sync Errors
You can manually add the title, then point it to the folder after it is added.
But it seems like you have some kind of data problem if MMCM says the title already exists. You need to go to the MM forum and see if anyone can help you there. That could be serious.
