Re: mymovies install on windows 11
I bought a Minisforum mini PC last year for use in a pinball machine. It was a little lower-end, I didn't need the horsepower for playing back 4K. It's very nice. As far as NUCs go, I think these AMD versions are among the nicest. But, no matter what you hope for, it's still a mobile chip inside, bo...

Re: mymovies install on windows 11
I have a dedicated Win10 Pro running as a VM on my Unraid server. Works perfectly, I see no reason to chase Win11 as I only use this OS for My Movies 5.40.
I don't have any tips for getting MyMovies running on Win11, sorry. My only advice is to stick with Win10 if you can.

Re: [Fixed in v7.1] v7 upgrade problem with Sync
Wow, you're challenging me to remember things I haven't thought about in over 5 years!... **NOTE 2: Binnerup does NOT include the My Movies API on My Movies server installs! In order to use CME to export metadata (highly recommended, detailed in section 3) below), you will need a My Movies for Windo...

Re: [Fixed in v7.1] v7 upgrade problem with Sync
It's probably related to CCC pulling the extra info from My Movies, which in turns causes an extra folder scan of your media folders. But I would expect My Movies to spin up your NAS drive, so after the first movie it should be normal speed. It seems very odd that spinning up the drive manually solv...

Re: [Broken in 7.0] Display issue with Long Movie Titles that go beyond a single line - Preview Popup Window
For the cut off descriptions, I believe that is by design. You should see the three dot ellipsis at the end letting you know that the content was abbreviated. If it's something else, a screenshot would be helpful to make sure we're on the same page. I'll probably do the same thing for the title. If ...

Re: Display issue with Long Movie Titles that go beyond a single line - Preview Popup Window
Thanks for reporting this, I hadn't noticed it.
I think the real problem is that movie names are just getting way too long.
I'll work on fixing this for the next release.

Re: What is Unraid and how to build an Unraid media server
I guess I'll find out soon enough, most of my machines are Win11, and I let them inconveniently auto-update on Microsoft's annoying schedule. I'm not opposed to using a username/pw, in fact I've had one on Unraid for years mainly because My Movies insists on having one. I just don't use it myself. S...

Re: What is Unraid and how to build an Unraid media server
I saw this today. I'm not sure, but I think it may affect us and how we use Unraid. https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/nas/windows-11-24h2-may-block-connections-to-unsecured-third-party-nas-devices-microsoft-enables-smb-signing-for-enhanced-security I don't currently use a username/password ...

Re: Moving along a row of ICONs slow
Yay, glad you got it figured out. Sorry I didn't think to mention that as a possibility. CMC is supposed to run in an offline mode when CCC is unreachable. While I know that it does impact performance a bit, I don't think I've seen it as bad as what you described. When CMC is in CCC mode, artwork ca...

Re: Moving along a row of ICONs slow
Hi Brian, The scrolling speed is directly affected by hard drive performance. Each movie cover is loaded in real-time. A fast SSD is highly recommended, and allows scrolling to be very fast. Perhaps you are using slower mechanical/spinning hard drives? Or slower SSDs? Not all SSD's are created equal...
