Re: Windows 11/12

Yay, I'm glad that worked. Good job. One possibility (which was going to be the next troubleshooting step) is that if you had already created the netshare for one directory path, but then renamed the folder path to CCC, then that could both break the share and prevent it from being reshared. Maybe i...

Re: Windows 11/12

Let's try it a slightly different way. First close CCC. Then right-click on CCC.exe and select "Run as Administrator". Then complete the NetShare process.

Re: Windows 11/12

Okay, so you have a single PC all-in-one solution, with My Movies, CCC and CMC running together on the same PC. Let me repeat, the NetShare alert window is for CCC, NOT for CMC. And you need to complete this step, you must allow it, or CCC will not work properly, and that is causing problems for CMC...

Re: Windows 11/12

The NetShare window is part of CCC. When CCC runs, it checks if the CCC artwork folder has been shared on the network, and if it has not, then this prompt shows up. You didn't say what you're clicking, but you need to click Yes or OK or Proceed (whatever the button says) and also approve the Windows...

Re: Windows 11/12

CMC, CME, and CCC, plus all associated components, work on all versions of Windows from 7 through 11.

I personally daily drive CMC on two different Win11 PC's.

Any issues you're experiencing likely have a different root cause.

As far as Windows 12 goes, well cross that bridge once they open it...

Re: [Fixed in v7.1] My Movies Pro app no longer works with CMC

Sorry, I should have already updated this post. It is fixed in the next release. Either something changed in the My Movies app, or I accidentally turned off some logic in the CMC SysTray Service. Probably the latter. All of the code I needed was already programmed but commented out, and I simply had...

Re: Red and Green Buttons Not working

Yep, that's the OVU that I recommended, specifically the OVU4003. These are true RC6 receivers. So glad that it worked. I was worried that other one you got wouldn't be RC6, and that's probably why it doesn't work with CMC's button remapping via the Registry. Perhaps Jamie can console you since his ...

Re: [Fixed in v7.1] v7 upgrade problem with Sync

I took the advice and posted to Binnerup and here is their response. Yeah, I saw that. Very disappointing. It sounds like the end is near. Possibly, but no need to abandon ship. WMC died a decade ago, yet people still successfully use it. As long as Binnerup doesn't actively kill MM 5.40, I think i...
