What version of Windows?
Did you reboot after updating the registry?

Re: Jriver Player does not launch
I just checked, and I have MC25.exe in both System32 and SysWOW64:
I think CMC is only looking in System32, so if you have it only in SysWOW64 that could explain why CMC is not finding it.

Re: Jriver Player does not launch
Can you do a search for mc24.exe in your Windows folder? Perhaps it is in SysWOW64 instead.
I think I'm running the 64-bit version too. Hard to tell now, as my trial has expired and it no longer runs for me.

Re: New external player addition.
I'll look into it. I'm not sure what the capabilities are, I've never really played with it outside of music years ago. MPC allows for extensive control customization, and I agree that the default settings are wretched. By default it seems to like keyboards better, so I highly recommend you spend 15...

Re: Htpc upgrade
Odd, I use to get SGX errors trying to play my purchased 4K discs, but for me foxy made them all go away. The last time I tried to play a 4K on PowerDVD it didn't work, but worked fine on MPC. So perhaps PowerDVD is still restricted somehow. But I thought I had played some 4K on PowerDVD too. Where ...

Re: Jriver Player does not launch
There's supposed to be an executable for Media Center in the \Windows\System32 directory. The name should be MC24.exe. This allows you to actually run JRiver Media Center from anywhere. I'm guessing you don't have C:\Windows\System32\MC24.exe, which is what CMC is looking for. We tested with earlier...

Re: Jriver Player does not launch
The problem is that CMC is not finding your JRiver installation. You can tell from the error message, which has quotes with nothing inside right after 'unable to run' - that's where the file path to the JRiver executable should be. What's the file path to the JRiver install? And what version of JRiv...

Re: Htpc upgrade
Let me see if I've got the requirements down: You already have a case - an HDPlex heatsink case - and you need a motherboard that will fit the case You need an ITX motherboard, and since the case has the built-in CPU cooler, the CPU socket has to be in a standardized location There is no room for a ...

Re: Multi player support
I think it’s easier to have a commercial stand alone player for those rare occasions that I just want to play a disc. I added an autoplay for inserted discs a couple versions back. Pop a disc in, CMC determines what kind of disc it is, and launches the player you configured for that disc type. It's...
