Re: Disc Destroyed!

I think it may be caused by a defect in the UHD disk not the drive. I've heard about disks exploding due to defective discs. There may have been a small crack in the disk which may have first caused the read errors on other drives. The disc may have harmed the drive though so be careful what to use ...

Re: Video discs will no longer be sold at Best Buy

I've also heard that Disney and all the other studios are losing a lot of money in streaming too. Going to movie theaters seem to be becoming unpopular. I haven't been in a theater since the last star wars movie.. Where will this lead?

Re: [Fixed in v7.0] JRiver MC31 not playing when 29 is also installed

Well Well if the MPC Video Renderer is cheap and dirty, I have no idea what I'm missing out on. It sure looks amazing to me. I'm sure I'll have the time someday to figure out the good stuff, but for now MPC-VR is still the best I've ever had. Yes, Often times ignorance is bliss. I am happy with 7.2...

Re: I give up

To leave the cmc screen, you just have to press the windows button on your pc's keyboard. you might have to go through the windows program menu, but I find that as the best method to leave cmc temporarily. I believe that using a usb key is what is slowing you down, especially if the usb key is usb 2...

Re: [Fixed in v7.0] JRiver MC31 not playing when 29 is also installed

As I expected the Yamaha V6a is only 7.2. My only other option would be a denon x2800h. That is 7.2 too. Atmos is out of my budget range and I have had 7.2 systems for years so I don't know what I am missing

Re: [Fixed in v7.0] JRiver MC31 not playing when 29 is also installed

my last avr was blown out by lightning a year ago. I am looking at a yamaha v6a and it has 2.1 hdmi ports. I am on the east coast of the USA. I don't know how shipping costs would affect what you would charge, but I am concerned about the size of the card and the power usage. What do you use for a p...

for pinball machines have you researched a Linux solution? Yes, but I'm currently hampered by my compiler software. Only recently has Embarcadero added support for compiling for Linux, but they hide this feature behind a very expensive paywall (thousands of dollars per year in licensing), and to ma...
