The Jriver player works great for me. Just tell it not to import your video collection after install. I also use mpc-be which is free. I have abandoned powerdvd. My suggestion is to uninstall powerdvd completely and reinstall it from scratch. Hopefully, you still have enough licenses left to do that...

I think it may be caused by a defect in the UHD disk not the drive. I've heard about disks exploding due to defective discs. There may have been a small crack in the disk which may have first caused the read errors on other drives. The disc may have harmed the drive though so be careful what to use ...

To leave the cmc screen, you just have to press the windows button on your pc's keyboard. you might have to go through the windows program menu, but I find that as the best method to leave cmc temporarily. I believe that using a usb key is what is slowing you down, especially if the usb key is usb 2...

As I expected the Yamaha V6a is only 7.2. My only other option would be a denon x2800h. That is 7.2 too. Atmos is out of my budget range and I have had 7.2 systems for years so I don't know what I am missing
