[CLOSED] Remote needs to be reprogrammed after Windows Spring feature update

Post by Jamie » Thu May 10, 2018 6:40 pm

Hi,

I just found out that the remote does not work after upgrading to the windows 10 spring feature update. In the remote app I just had to save the remote setting to the windows registry. I believe that Paul mentioned that this happened to him after the 1709 update.

Thanks for the heads up.

Yes, I've seen this behavior on the major Win 10 upgrades, that the update reverts the windows registry values for the remote back to the defaults.

Easy to re-apply using either MM Browser (remember to run as Administrator to allow registry updates) or with that other MCE remote registry editor tool (sorry, the name eludes me at the moment).
