Access Violation

I am setting up a new CMC client. Everything with CMC is working except when I reboot (I have CMC in autostart) I get the following error.

Exception:EAccessViolation in module CMC.exe at 00521P9D. Access violation at address 00B9F9D in module ‘CMC.exe”. Read of address 00000014.

Once I click OK and restart it works. Any idea on why I get that the first time after each reboot?

Hey Kevin,

Sorry for the late reply. Web site having tons of issues. It is still being hammered by foreign IP's, which is depleting all the server's spare burst capacity, so by default it is running as slow as possible. I then restarted the server yesterday to try and help it, and after that the server wouldn't respond to requests anymore. Turns out, some of the new firewall rules I set up to block these foreign IP's were misconfigured, and ended up blocking all traffic.

The good news is now that I have the server back up, it's running super speedy since the burst reservoir is fully topped off again (thanks to all that downtime). So until it gets hammered to oblivion by bad actors again, enjoy the temporary speed bump.

To answer your question, my first thought is that you didn't set the working directory to the CMC install directory. That's a common issue when configuring a program to autostart in Windows, it will default to a Windows directory as the working directory, and that will break CMC.
