Hi Paul,
Hope your holidays are going well. Thanks for the 8.x upgrade. Everything went really well updating and all titles appeared in CMC. After about a week almost all my TV Series disappeared. I saw something about an old MyMovies rating bug and would like to know how to avoid that. I'm still now sure what freezing my TV titles in MyMovies means.
Is there a way to nuke the sync and re-sync all? Sorry, that's my go to after years of database work.
Thanks in advance for any help on this

Happy Holidays and a question
Re: Happy Holidays and a question
The known disappearing TV series issue was addressed in CMC v8. This was caused by My Movies changing the TV Series Stars Rating from a 0-10 value (representing 0-5 Stars in half-star increments) to -1. CMC had a bug in that series with -1 values were ignored, making them disappear from the GUI. CMC v8 simply added support for including TV Series with -1 Stars Rating values.
I know Binnerup is on record saying that -1 values were always valid, though none of us saw this issue of disappearing TV Series until this past year, so obviously the usage in My Movies has changed. What's worse, is that we saw existing TV Series get updated, changing a valid value, like 9 on The Big Bang Theory, to -1, so this is a loss of data in My Movies. It didn't seem to happen all at once, it would gradually permeate throughout TV series as they got updated, and ultimately a majority of TV Series would have this data rot issue.
The only protection was locking your TV Series in My Movies. It's easy enough to do, there's a checkbox somewhere to lock a series, and that prevents updates from the My Movies online service from changing your local data.
I don't know what you mean by nuke and re-sync. If you are talking about resyncing between My Movies and CCC/CMC, that's easy enough, just stop the automatic sync and click "Run Full Export Now".
But if you are talking about syncing from the My Movies online service into your local My Movies database, that's probably the worst thing you could ever do. The online service is where the data issues are coming from.
Now, if all your TV Series have disappeared on v8, then that is a brand new issue. I'll need a current copy of your CMC_MovieDB.xml file to investigate. This file is only generated if you have CMC Debug Logging enabled. You can email this file to me for review.
I'll delete the cross-post in the other channel.
