HI Manni,

Further up in the thread I explained what I had to do to rename Jriver 31 to jr 30. I had to jump through hoops like copy the install folder to a new jr 30 folder. Rename the exes in the new jr 30 folder to jr 30. I copied the exes in the new jr 30 folder to system32 and syswow64 folders and put the new jr 30 folder into the syspath via the syspath environment variable. A lot of work for a little joy but I wanted to test 31. Oh yeah finally reboot after doing all of that crap

Thanks Jamie, I saw your notes and tried, but I was still getting an error message (even after the syspath and reboot).

Anyway, I installed V30, it works fine with my V31 license (I had uninstalled V28 and had skipped the upgrade to V30). JRVR is making progress but is still not close to madVR, so there isn't much in V31 for now. I'll use V31 when Paul supports it, it can wait until next month

Actually, I take the above back. I had a levels mismatch issue in JRVR that caused issues. With the correct levels, the improvements in JRVR in MC31 (build 36) are very impressive.

I made another attempt at following your procedure Jamie, and I still fail.

I get the following error: How do you add the Media Center 30 path?

Still getting the error above, so I assume I'm not setting the right path or not doing it correctly?

Though I don't normally share alphas, I'll work on getting an alpha for v7 out today. I still have quite a bit of development to do on v7, but in its current state it is essentially v6 + bug fixes with very few new features, so it seems pretty solid for an alpha.

That would be tremendous. I used the syspath variables and I added Jriver 31 as jriver 30 to be the first path for the syspath variable. I do admit that it can be flackey at times but generally it does work for me.

For those that have access, v7.0 Alpha 1 is now available in the Prerelease forum area.

Thanks Paul, I will look at it now. Do you want any bug reports or do you want to wait for the betas before we report bugs?

Getting this error when trying to launch a film with jRiver 31:
This worked fine up to V30.
