Hey Kevin, your experience with Chatty is extremely common. I used it for a lot of everyday tasks, and it seems to get more wrong than right, but with enough effort I can have it correct its errors. For many tasks/challenges, I've simply given up hope.

There are some tricks you can use to get better results. You have to "prime the pump", give it directions about how to evaluate its responses, force it to think critically.

You can instruct it to only provide answers specific for your particular version of JRivers on your particular OS, have it double-check all responses for accuracy for your version, and provide references for all responses. Pre-instruct it to re-evaluate all responses that don't satisfy these criteria, and only provide responses that do. Stuff like this seems to snap it out of hallucination mode.

I think sometimes you also have to give it an exit-routine option - tell it to reply that an answer could not be found instead of making up an answer - otherwise it reverts to making it up in order to satisfy your request.
