[Feature Request] movie mode only setting

Paul unless I missed it in the settings page. Would it be possible to have a setting that is movies only. No music, external apps or the external app drop down. I always manage to go to high and it drops down. I don’t use any of that and I probably never will. I’m going to use my AppleTV for music and all the other stuff as I’m used to the interface and it’s all in one place. I don’t want you to get rid of it nor deprecate it. I could come back to the music portion if it was more compelling. It doesn’t appear to have gotten a lot of attention lately. Movies is my main thing.

Currently this is not an option, sorry.

I have it on my todo list to rework the external links, to expand it to a dedicated panel, and reserve the current navigation panel for jumping between various CMC functions - movies, music, and new sections like photos and videos. I'm not exactly sure when I will be working on this, but when I get to it I'll explore options for disabling them so you won't be able to accidentally navigate there.

I will be working more on the music section, though I am surprised to learn that the current state is not good enough for you. What, specifically, is holding you back?

No worries Paul. I have to take another look as it’s not fresh in my mind. Been buried in work. You’ll get to it when you can. I did buy one of those android tv boxes out of curiosity from Amazon. Zidoo Z9x. I like it so I’m going to keep it. Plays just about anything you throw at it. It does Blu ray menus but it needs work. It will direct play movies. I tried several and they started up without a issue. The picture is excellent. It will upscale downscale automatically. Plays Dolby vision, hdr10+, hdr... it barely gets warm. It’s not quite ready for prime time, but they’re aggressively improving the firmware. I’ll start another thread.
