Many Series don't show up after sucessful export

I am unable to add many of my current TV series that seem to export OK with no error but do not show up in CMC. I removed all of CMC/CCC from the server where My Movies resides. I do an export for Star Trek Strange New Worlds and it works then I do an export for Andor and it appears to work but does not show up on the CMC which is on the same server. I followed all instructions for setup after I completely removed CMC/CCC. Are the any diagnostics that I can run to see why it does not show up after a successful export?

This appears to be a data issue in My Movies. The "star rating" always used to be between 0 and 10, in half-star increments. So 10 = 5 stars, 1 = a half star, and 0 = no stars or unrated.

Apparently something changed in the My Movies data service, and now we are seeing a new value, -1 (negative one). This unexpected value freaks CMC out, and in turn the TV Series doesn't show.

Making matters worse, this data in My Movies is non-editable. Whatever the source is, Binnerup controls it, and is also refusing to fix it. So random TV shows have this issue, and never show in CMC.

The solution is a new version of CMC (this is not a CCC issue). I already have a beta on the website with this fix:

CMC v7.1 Beta 1 with Mad Except

Now, word of caution - this isn't a typical beta. It's a special debug beta, so it runs A LOT SLOWER. This is just for you to confirm this fixes the issue. I don't expect you to run with this daily. Please let me know.

That works but I am getting an error which may be expected since this is a Beta:
Cannot create file "c:cmc\cmc_Moview.bin", The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

Yeah, that's typical of the debug betas. They are so much slower, that separate writes to the same file begin to overlap instead of being separated by gaps of time.

I'm glad it works, thanks for reporting back.

I'm working on the next beta which won't have this extra debug crap in it.

I may have spoken too soon. While the series shows up now, none of the episode location data is there. When I pick an episode to watch It only plays the first episode no matter which episode I choose.

With Debug Logging enabled, open and close CMC. That should generate the CMC_MovieDB.xml file. Please send that to me.

Oh, and be sure to tell me what TV series is having the problem.

No, as I hang my head in shame... but wait, it is still too big (4 MiB)..redemption :)

Are there particular sections I can cut into a smaller upload or divide it into three sections (each one zipped)?

Here it is split. The are many that show but have no location data but the first series that I was working on was the new Battlestar Galactica The Complete Series
