Re: Adventures in 4K UHD + HDR Troubleshooting
Hey Jamie, I've been too busy to deal with HDR. My projector came out with a firmware update, which blew away all my settings, but looks much better out of the box. I have turned off HDR on the PC, and with what I've been watching lately (non HDR content) it looks better this way. HDR is always lack...

Re: CCC Install - Catching Up
Ahhh, thanks for letting me know. It definitely looked like a scaling issue, so I was at a loss how this was occurring with 100% scaling.

Re: 4k tv upgrade
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. You brought back a lot of good memories for me. My dad and I used to love going to computer fairs back in the 80's, buying software copied (legally?) onto 5-1/4" disks. There was a magic of discovery back in those days. My first HTPC was in the 90's, before the ...

Re: 4k tv upgrade
Any ideas on a wireless key board that will power up a HTPC? Pretty much any of them should be able to, depending upon your BIOS options. Essentially, you need to enable wake from USB devices in your BIOS. I've done it before, years ago, but don't remember exactly what it's called. Note, sometimes ...

Re: CCC Install - Catching Up
This is what I see on my Win 10 Pro, 4K @ 100%: image.png Can you post a screenshot so I can see what you're experiencing? TIP: When the prompt window appears, press ALT+PrintScreen to take an easy snapshot of just that screen, then in your reply press CTRL+V to paste the screenshot in the message.

Re: CCC Install - Catching Up
A warning box appeared that read " Are you sure you want to close CCC?" The problem is the the warning box frame is not sized large enough to make visible the remaining message. And the two option buttons (probably Yes and No) are not clearly visible. What is your display resolution and scaling? Se...

Re: CCC Install - Catching Up
The check that CCC does every 5 minutes typically takes 1-3 seconds. It's super-fast and lightweight. So it shouldn't affect your performance at all. If you open CCC back up, you can monitor the sync right in the main window, and you'll see how fast it is on your setup. That said, if you'd prefer to...

Re: 4k tv upgrade
While I'm happy you found a solution that you're happy with, I'm sad that it's not a HTPC with CMC. But I totally get it. The content providers have essentially abandoned PC's - sure you can use a browser or Windows app but those work best with a mouse, and are next to unusable any other way. ...

Re: CCC Install - Catching Up
I noticed that Paul Hasn't responded yet Ha, you beat me by 2 minutes! With CCC you are using the mymovies API so you don't need to export data from Mymovies any more. Splitting hairs on this technicality - CCC exports the data via the API, so you don't have to force My Movies to export data. But C...
